Degree in Law (J.D.)

The Degree in Law offers a legal education which is at the same time classical and modern. Beyond the traditional topics, the degree offers a variety of subjects aimed at enlarging the mind and the career opportunities of the jurist of the 21st century: from sociology, to legal philosophy, from Roman Law to Hermeneutics the Degree also offers a wide range of courses in comparative, European and International Law.

The study program is organized in order for students to acquire: - The fundamental elements of National and European legal culture, including techniques and methodologies related to case studies, in relation to topics that are useful to the understanding and the evaluation of principles or institutions of positive law; - Refinement of historical knowledge that enables to evaluate positive law and its transformations; - The ability to produce legal texts (regulatory,contractual, or procedural) which are clear, relevant and effective in relation to contexts, well argued, including the use of IT tools;

The Degree in Law prepares for the traditional legal professions (advocacy, judiciary and notary) and senior management positions both in employment in both the private and public administration. The graduates will also be employed, in reference to functions of high responsibility, in the various fields of social activities, or in socio-economic and political institutions, in public administrations, private companies, in the unions, in the field of computer law, in the field of comparative law, international and Community (European jurist), as well as in international organizations.
